Interview With Jagruti Joshi Author Of Queen of Peace:

Q.1 What inspires you to write?

I love reading and the more I read, the more ideas come to me. I have loved stories since childhood and I always thought stories are the best way to express your thinking.

Q.2 Tell us more about the book.

The book ‘Queen of Peace’ revolves around a town girl Shivalika who dreams of serving the country. The book shows how army officers protect the country without thinking about their own lives. Shivalika and her team go on various missions to save the country and its citizens. They encounter numerous antagonists on that road. They make sacrifices to fulfill their roles as army officers. Patriotism is a choice and everyone can choose to be patriotic by choosing to do the right things for the country they are living in.

Q 3.  Given the complex publishing process in India, what was your experience?

The publishing process takes time and one needs a lot of patience and trust. My experience with Papertowns Publishers was awesome. I got replies to my doubts in the best way and on time.

Working with papertown publishers made my work less complex.

Q 4. If your book was adapted into a movie, what would be your dream casting?

If my movie is adopted as a movie,

Shivalika would be Medha Shankar

Satyavrat – Mohit raina

Harvinder – Vidyut Jamwal

Rani – Anushka Sharma

These are my main characters

Q. 5. If you were to re-create the ending of one book, which book would that be and what would you change?

Currently, I have read the book ‘the girl who knew too much’ by Vikrant Khanna. Ultimately, Akshara has to choose between a believer and a cynic. I think I would like to see her mother as her guardian angel.

Q6 Describe your writing process.

Ok, It’s a long process. I mean originally It took me 6 to 7 months to complete this part of the book. I have started writing this book back in 2018. In 2019, my father passed away. I was very young back then.  I had to handle my responsibilities and my studies. I dropped my dream. In 2022, I got married and my husband pushed me to fulfill my dream. I started writing my book again. I changed the names, and the places many times. I loved the whole process as it is the one thing I loved the most.

Q 7 What genres or topics do you enjoy writing about the most?

I like writing love stories, thrillers, action, and adventure.

Q 8 Are there specific messages or feelings you hope your readers take away from your story?

The message I tried to convey from this book is if you are true to yourself and doing rightful things whether in a small way or a bigger way you deserve to be king or queen. Another thing is whatever life gives you, handle that with all the courage and dignity.

Q 9 Last book you read that made you cry.

The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’ by Robin Sharma

Q 10 Describe a lesser-known aspect of Jagruti.
