Who can participate in our giveaways?
Anyone can participate in the giveaways. But currently, we ship the prizes to addresses in India only.
I already follow you and your giveaway host, can I still enter?
Yes. As an engaging activity, we ask participants to follow the giveaway host (author\publisher) and us. However, many of you may already be following either or the host or both, you are eligible to enter.
Is my personal data safe?
Your data is used only to courier the prize. We would never spam you or share data with anyone else.
When do you announce the winners?
We try to announce the winners in a couple of days after the giveaway ends.
How do you select the winners?
There are two types of giveaways: 1) where we ask an engaging question, 2) we ask you to tag your friends. In the first one, the quality of your answer plays a huge role. Our panel or the author, who is hosting the giveaway, pick the winners. Winners are selected randomly in the second type of giveaways.
How will I know if I win?
We will announce the winners on our social handles and will tag the winners. Turn on post notification so that you don’t miss an announcement.
How long does it take to receive my prize?
We try to ship the book\prize as soon as all the winners of a particular giveaway share their addresses with us. Typically, you will receive the prize within 10 days of result announcement. Sometimes, the courier partner is not able to deliver due to various reasons and it may be returned to us. If you don’t get the delivery even after 15 days, do contact us. If we are not able to ship the prize to your postal address, you will be getting an online gift card of an amount equal to the selling price of the book\prize.
Do I need to pay anything to get the prize?
No, we have you covered.
Who provides the giveaway prizes?
Most of our giveaways are sponsored by individual authors or publishing partners. Sometimes, The Bookoholics also funds a giveaway. If you are an author or a publisher, you can get in touch with us to run a giveaway.
Why have I not won yet?
Our giveaways are very popular and draw hundreds of participants. It is possible to enter multiple giveaways and never win. As we mostly decide the winners randomly, you should keep trying.
How do I know that The Bookoholics giveaways are genuine?
The Bookoholics is an established community of readers on the Internet. We have hundreds of thousands of followers on social media. And Giveaways are one way of giving back to this awesome community. We regularly share messages and posts from our prize winners on our social channels. We have plans to create a gallery of our giveaway winners.
