Q Tell us more about the book.
Life comes in many colors and shades. We all face various aspects like struggles, sorrow, and happiness. Each experience teaches us something. In this book, “Dil Ki Batein“, I’ve collected and shared all the lessons and experiences I’ve gathered while navigating through life’s different phases. These are the words of everyone who has experienced similar phases. “Dil Ki Batein” aims to touch your hearts and become your voice.
Q What themes or subjects do you often find yourself drawn to in writing?
I’m often drawn to themes of true love, friendship, personal growth, and the importance of nature and humanity. Sometimes, I also love to write about the current scenario of society, the country, and self-reflection in my writing. I find myself exploring topics like love, relationships, resilience, and the journey of self-discovery.
Q Describe a lesser-known aspect of Amit.
I have a Facebook and Instagram page named “Dil Ki Batein Official“. On Facebook, the page has more than 8,500 likes. Additionally, I love experimenting with cooking.
Q Are there specific messages or feelings you hope your readers take away from your story?
Absolutely. In “Dil Ki Batein,” I hope readers find a deep connection with their own lives and relationships. Through the poetries and Shayari in the book, I aim to highlight the importance of true friendship, genuine love, and self-motivation. I want readers to understand the power of these elements in shaping our lives and helping us navigate through both joyful and challenging times. Ultimately, I hope the book inspires readers to cherish their relationships, believe in themselves, and find the courage to pursue their dreams.
Q Can you share your daily ritual for balancing your life?
My daily ritual for balancing life involves starting my day with light stretching or yoga to wake up my body and mind. I make it a point to take morning and evening walks to stay active and refreshed, and I prioritize living joyfully and eating healthily throughout the day. Spending quality time with my family is a crucial part of my routine, whether it’s sharing meals together or engaging in meaningful conversations. Before going to bed, I have a ritual of writing in my personal diary, where I jot down the day’s highlights or reflect on memories. This practice helps me unwind and provides clarity before ending the day.
Q Tell us about the first book you read that made you cry.
To be honest, I’m not someone who cries easily, but there are a few books that have made me emotional. Munshi Premchand’s ‘Boodhi Kaki‘ is a story deeply rooted in human emotions. It raises the issue where other members of the family start neglecting the elderly in the house, solely interested in their wealth and assets. Not only are they neglected, but they are also insulted, demeaned, and even denied food. This story portrays the appalling behavior that exists in Indian higher middle and upper-class families towards their elderly. It’s remarkable to see that although the book was published in 1921, it perfectly depicts the mentality of today’s society.
Additionally, I’d like to mention Kumar Vishwas’s poem ‘Ek Pagli Ladki‘. I don’t know why, but every time I read this poem, I feel deeply emotional.
Q Given the complex publishing process in India, what was your experience with us?
Working with you was an incredibly smooth and efficient process. Despite the complex publishing landscape in India, your team made the entire experience seamless. From the initial manuscript submission to the final publication, everything was handled with professionalism and expertise. I truly appreciate the support and guidance provided at every step of the way. Thank you for making my publishing journey a positive and rewarding experience!
Q Do you believe that a writer needs to have strong emotions?
Yes, I believe strong emotions can greatly benefit a writer. Emotions provide depth and authenticity to writing, allowing the writer to connect with their readers on a deeper level. Whether it’s joy, sadness, anger, or love, strong emotions help to evoke a response from the reader and make the writing more compelling. Emotions also fuel creativity, helping writers to express themselves more effectively and vividly.
Q Tell us about the most challenging part of writing the book.
This being my first book, I knew that the audience would span different age groups, from the young to the old, including family and friends. Therefore, maintaining a balance between the themes of poetry and shayari was crucial. However, I also needed to be mindful of how my words might impact others, especially those who are a part of my life. Balancing honesty with sensitivity was a delicate task. I wanted to be true to my experiences while also respecting the privacy and feelings of those involved.
