John Green can’t (or he doesn’t want to?) believe that Bollywood is making a movie based on his best-selling book, “The Fault in Our Stars.” Green announced his excitement on Twitter and looked genuinely excited about the remake.
I can’t believe this is happening. Amazing! ⚡ “Bollywood remake of The Fault in Our Stars confirms its female lead”https://t.co/3y8avVH8Fj

Hollywood actors, Ansel Elgort & Shailene Woodley, joined John Green and started talking about the big news. Shailene, who played Hazel, asked her male lead to watch the movie together in true TFIOS style, which was reciprocated by Ansel with a million-dollar “Okay.”
Wow!We are gonna watch this together okay? https://t.co/WcRaPG0ACo

The news has left the actors, and John Green excited, but many Indian fans are nervous about the developments as they fear that Bollywood would ruin the original. Can’t blame the fans, can we?
I’d advise you to not be excited, John. Don’t blame us that we didn’t warn you lol

I understand your excitement but as an Indian person who knows what bollywood is about I’m afraid I can’t share it. I just really hope they don’t ruin the story completely.
At least the music will be good!— Aditi Dubey (@peutetreaditi) March 20, 2018
The movie will see Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi play the lead roles and will be directed by Mukesh Chhabra, who is making his directorial debut. While the male lead was finalized a while ago, the female lead’s face was announced recently.
However, it is not all gloomy as A R Rahman is most likely to compose the music.
