Explore Unwoven Strings of Life: Understanding “Jee Liya Woh Apna Hai, Kal To Bus Ek Sapna Hai” Through Vidisha’s Experiences

Every life is shaped by countless moments some extraordinary, others seemingly ordinary. Yet it is often these everyday experiences that quietly leave the deepest imprint on who we become. In Unwoven Strings of Life, author Vidisha shares heartfelt reflections gathered over five decades of living, learning, loving, and overcoming life’s many challenges. Through simple, relatable narratives, she reminds readers that happiness is not found in perfect circumstances, but in embracing the present with intention, resilience, and gratitude.

Rooted in two guiding philosophies – “Do your best and leave the rest” and “Jee Liya woh Apna hai, Kal to Buss ek Sapna hai” the book encourages readers to cherish every moment while accepting the uncertainties of tomorrow. In this exclusive conversation, Vidisha opens up about the inspiration behind her book, the personal experiences that shaped its pages, and the timeless lessons she hopes every reader carries into their own life.

Q1. What inspired you to write Unwoven Strings of Life, and what personal journey led to Its creation?

This journey started with a blog ‘Strings of Life’ in the year 2006, and generally, people loved what I used to write. I love to make friends and interact, and feel that each human has a different Life experience to share. I, like all of us many times suffered in silence and alone and felt that if I share my experiences, maybe it can help a few to never give up in life and always remain positive. I have always felt that our breath and the seconds that we live are numbered. These moments are all we have; we can either waste them or live them completely. Plus, the fruits of our karma are not in our hands, so with these thoughts, I have a very strong funda in life,’ Jee Liya woh Apna hai Kal to buss ek Sapna hai.’ ‘Do your Best and Leave the Rest.’

“That’s such an inspiring journey. It’s wonderful to see how years of writing and life experiences came together to create this book.”

Q2. “Do your best and leave the rest” is a powerful philosophy. How has this mindset transformed your own life?

This mantra of Life has helped me to never get stressed about anything. Whenever we take on any task, in our hands, we should feel satisfied that we have given it our 100 percent. When we know whatever we did is the best we could do within our ability and capacity. Then even failure doesn’t have the power to break us. We are confident that we have done our level best and then left the rest to the Supreme, nature or destiny. whatever name we may give the results.

“That’s a philosophy many people can relate to. Focusing on your best effort certainly brings a sense of peace.”

Q3. What does the title Unwoven Strings of Life symbolize for you personally?

I believe- we are all born unwoven. Just like the caterpillar weaves threads around itself to make a cocoon, we weave beautiful strings of our personal experiences around us as we walk through all stages in life.
The caterpillar breaks open and finally turns into a beautiful butterfly, exactly how we break open through these strings of experiences and transform into beautiful matured human beings, finally flying freely in the open skies of the The world around us.

That’s a beautiful metaphor. It perfectly reflects how life’s experiences shape each one of us.”

Q4. The book reflects on both challenges and ordinary moments. Why do you think Every day experiences shape us just as much as major turning points?

We are what we are because of our everyday experiences. These experiences shape our thinking and our understanding; they teach us how to deal with every situation. Just as in my book there are many write-ups on how children feel lost as they have no one around to speak, ‘Heading towards disaster is my own experience about my kids when I was working and later when i wasn’t working ‘Heading towards disaster’, then there is another one, ‘Thorn stuck in the Throat’ is something so common which we all face as some experiences of ours cant be shared with anyone with the fear of being judged. Each chapter is a reflection, a mirror of how our experiences teach us how to deal with life.

“That’s a valuable perspective. Sometimes it’s the ordinary moments that leave the deepest impact on our lives.”

Q5. Your book encourages readers to live fully in the present. In today’s fast-paced world, How can people reconnect with the beauty of “now”?

Yes. ‘Jee Liya woh Apna hai Kal to Buss ek Sapna hai.’ That’s what I am today, too; if I can do it, so can each human in this universe. The fast-paced world is also built with seconds and breath that we all take. These moments can be lived fully and completely by being mindful because that is what we have in our hands. Today if i pass away i know i have lived the fullest so there is nothing left to explore or enjoy in life. That’s what living in the now is for me.

“That’s a lovely way to look at life and Your words remind us to appreciate the present instead of worrying about tomorrow.”

Q6. How do intention, effort, and resilience influence the way we navigate uncertainty and change?

Our Intention keeps us going with full resilience; we have to put in our 100 percent in every small or big action of ours, which could be as small as bringing a glass of water in a tray. It may be difficult initially, but if there is an intention to improve, we shall put in effort, and with resilience, we will be able to bring that change of carrying it without dropping water. Life is all about these three things. Nothing works beyond these three.

“That’s a simple yet powerful explanation and It shows how intention, effort, and resilience work hand in hand.”

Q7. Was there a chapter or lesson in the book that felt especially personal or emotional for you to write?

All the chapters are the experiences of 50 years of my life, so each one has a special place but among them, the chapter ‘Jaako Rakhe Saiyaa Marr Sake na Koy’ it is the closest to my heart. I heard this from my mother as a child but today too it helps me accept life as it is offered to me. I truly believe that I am alive today for a reason. Supreme has a plan which is beyond our understanding. This chapter explains with a short narrative that nothing and no one can harm us, as each and every soul born on this planet has a different role to play.

“It’s touching to hear that this chapter is so close to your heart and Personal stories often leave the strongest impact on readers.”

Q8. What did writing this book teach you about yourself and about life?

I have compiled my experiences of 50 years, and expressing them in words took me almost 10 years. As I revisited my Life experiences, I was happy with the people and experiences I came across all through life; they shaped me into who I am today. Just like everyone else, I have had my ups and downs in life, and I felt an urge to share them with one and all because I understand suffering, I understand what it is to struggle alone, and I know how fearful it is to face death and look in its eye and still bounce back. I felt inspite of all that I went through, if I could achieve and remain positive and smile. Each of us can! We all just need that one branch of hope, that one voice to say. “Yes, you can.”

“That’s truly inspiring Your journey shows how even life’s toughest moments can become a source of hope for others.”

Q9. Who do you think needs this book the most at this stage of life?

This Book, ‘Unwoven Strings of Life’, is for all age groups. It resonates with the youngsters and the older generation as well. It is like a guide to remain positive in every situation. The best part is that one can read it from anywhere. There is no beginning or end. Men, women, children, everyone can relate to the write-up for a few; it may be just a reminder of what they have experienced, for others, it may guide what not to do or how not to behave. I have had people come up to me and share that they read it along with their prayer book every morning to start the day in a positive mind frame.

“It’s wonderful that the book speaks to readers across generations and That makes its message even more meaningful.”

Q10. How has your journey of publishing Unwoven Strings of Life with Paper Towns India been been, and what has this experience meant to you personally?

Since Paper Town India is based in Rajasthan, it instantly gave me the comfort of home. The team was very, very supportive and bore with all my delays and last-minute changes. They guided me very nicely, and it gave me the confidence of being in safe hands. The editing process was very smooth and easy. Since it was my first time, I was very nervous, but they made me feel my expressions and emotions mattered and were well-framed and rectified where needed to set it right for marketing on the national and Global platform. The faith they showed in me and my write-up was beyond compare. There was a very big delay from my end, as my mother passed away, and I was not in the right frame of mind to move ahead. Not once did anyone from their team lose patience with me. They halted everything until I settled down mentally and emotionally, and we started again. I cannot think of any other publisher to publish my next book and also to recommend Paper Town to any of my friends or acquaintances who might wish to publish their work.

Personally, they are more of an extended family now, and we are in a contract for this lifetime.

“A supportive publisher can make all the difference. It’s heartwarming to hear how this journey became so personal for you.”
